Multivariate Frailty Models for Exchangeable Survival Data with Covariates
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider a multivariate lognormal frailty model for correlated exchangeable failure time data, where the marginal lifetimes have conditional Weibull distributions. We discuss Bayesian statistical methods to fit this model to experimental data with varying cluster sizes. The Bayesian inferential approach arises naturally from the hierarchical structure of the frailty model. In contrast, implementation of the maximum likelihood approach encounters practical difficulties. The methodology is illustrated with the analyses of three datasets.

Spatial Modeling of Censored Survival Data
An important issue in survival data analysis is the identification of risk factors. Some of these factors are identifiable and explainable by presence of some covariates in the Cox proportional hazard model, while the others are unidentifiable or even immeasurable. Spatial correlation of censored survival data is one of these sources that are rarely considered in the literatures. In this paper,...
متن کاملCox and Frailty Models for Analysis of Esophageal Cancer Data
By existing censor and skewness in survival data, some models such as weibull are used to analyzing survival data. In addition, parametric and semiparametric models can be obtained from baseline hazard function of Cox model to fit to survival data. However these models are popular because of their simple usage but do not consider unknown risk factors, that's why cannot introduce the be...

Monitoring the reliability of products in both the manufacturing and service processes is of main concern in today’s competitive market. To this end, statistical process control has been widely used to control the reliability-related quality variables. The so-far surveillance schemes have addressed processes with independent quality characteristics. In multistage processes, however, the cascade...
متن کاملWienke, A. Correlated frailty models in ageing THE ROLE OF CORRELATED FRAILTY MODELS IN STUDIES OF HUMAN HEALTH, AGEING AND LONGEVITY
This talk gives an overview about the analysis of twin data on diseases, aging and longevity. One goal of our research in this area is the evaluation of the genetic contribution to life span and mortality from different causes. Such evaluation is performed using the idea of correlated frailty. We apply different correlated frailty models to the analysis of bivariate survival data from Danish, F...
متن کاملMultivariate Frailty Modeling in Joint Analyzing of Recurrent Events with Terminal Event and its Application in Medical Data
Background and Objectives: In many medical situations, people can experience recurrent events with a terminal event. If the terminal event is considered a censor in this type of data, the assumption of independence in the analysis of survival data may be violated. This study was conducted to investigate joint modeling of frequent events and a final event (death) in breast cancer patients using ...
